After initially being appointed as part of the casting panel and a mentor for the contestants, ITV have now asked Melanie to be a permanent judge during the live shows of 'Superstar'. Alongside Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jason Donovan and Dawn French, Melanie will help decide which contestant will be playing the role of Jesus during the arena tour of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' later in the year.
After a double serving last weekend, 'Superstar' returns this Saturday and Sunday at 8pm on ITV1 and will then be broadcast Monday to Friday next week at 9pm.
Melanie will join Matt Baker and Alex Jones on BBC's 'The One Show' tonight from 7pm to discuss her involvement in the 'Superstar' search and her excitement at playing Mary during the arena tour of 'Jesus Christ Superstar', make sure to tune in.
