Melanie is set to perform live at London 2012’s ‘decision day’ event – Thank You London, Thank You UK – in Trafalgar Square on Wednesday 6 July.
Rachel Stevens will also perform at the event, running from 12-2pm, which includes Mahogany Carnival Group, Indian drummers the Dhol Academy, and Heather Small singing Bid anthem Proud, backed by community choirs. The event will be hosted by Capital FM presenters Margherita Taylor and Katy Hill.
Also on stage during the show will be a host of London 2012 Ambassadors led by Steve Cram and Dame Kelly Holmes including:
James Cracknell, Ben Ainslie, Sarah Webb, Chris Hoy, Dame Mary Peters, Jo Fenn, Danny Crates and Rhona Martin.
