Yeh Yeh Yeh was originally planned to be released on its own in September 2003. Shortly before the release, Melanie ruptured her ligaments in her right knee during the recording of the TV show "The Games", which brought promotion to a halt. As Melanie was no longer able to perform such an upbeat track during her promotional activities, the release was changed to a double A-side including the fan favorite ballad Melt.
