Melanie has just said on twitter that she's running a mile for Sport Relief on Radio 1 around 11am today.

They are streaming this on the Radio 1 website - www.bbc.co.uk/radio1 so tune in, cheer her on, but be quick cos I reckon she'll do it in no time!

I did a bit of math (Which I suck at, so I might be wrong) and it seems she has lost quite some speed compared to het triathlon last year, which was 3 times the distance she ran for this.

Wonder what she's gonna do on Sunday, time wise, as I have a race of about the same distance... See if I can beat her *probably not*.

22:41 minutes in triathlon (5 km run) = 4:32 min/km or 13.23 km/h

1 mile = 1.609344 km
she did it in ~ 6 min 40 sec, so that equals 4:09 min/km or 14.48 km/h

her triathlon run was 5,4 km though... And I thought this mile took her about 7 minutes, but I might be mistaken.

Will be hard to beat either way, have only been training for 2 weeks loL
(but appearantly I'm good enough to do a race, since I was instantly invited after 1st practice)

5,4 km really? didn't know that. 6:40 or 7 minutes - doesn't matter, she runs fast.

That's what Technical Uni in Gdansk makes to students ... Poor Annie :wink:

BTW I had a pleasure to see short Melanie's run in Warsaw in Transcolor Studios. She was running on her high heels to watch her performance on tele. So cute! It's one of the funniest MC memories I have.
