Urgh the ipad is wrong on so many levels.

Wait for HP... HTC/Google to announce their tablets. You'll have more freedom on those

I disagree Apple make some shit hot stuff, I have ipod classic, best thing ever bought, but it does have it's disadvantages yes, definately need decent pair headphones to get good sound.

I, personally am not sold on the iPad.
I think they'd be excellent for businesses because it's not as compact as the iPod touch... I know they're not trying to market the iPad as a glorified iPod Touch... but unless you're an avid eBook reader I don't really see the point of 'conveniently' lugging the iPad around.. And because of the massive display, people are going to have to start lugging their chargers on a daily basis...

Maybe wait a year or so til they work out all the kinks on the iPad I'd take another look at it... but I still love everything the iPod Touch has to offer.
