What Melanie songs make you tear up? for me, sometimes it's the slower, ballady songs.... but the heavier songs, if they have powerful lyrics, can get to me, too. as you can see below, a lot of Reason gets the best of me.... and two songs off This Time are the most emotional for me. gawd, i'm a mess!

a major killer..... really emotional vocals and lyrics, and beautiful music
may your heart (the beauty of the song, starting soft then building in intensity. powerful vocals get to me 2)

something to add here.... i find that the songs have even more emotion and power when i watch Melanie either in concert (saw her once) or when i watch her live concert DVDs. she really puts everything into her performances and i feel the vibe quite strongly.

maybe this is food for another - non-Melanie - thread, but i'm now listening to, and getting a little misty over U2's "Joshua Tree" album, especially Where the Streets Have No Name, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, and With Or Without You.

Ohhh, i'm a big U2 fan and this album is definitely my fav. You should also add "One", "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses", "Love Is Blindness" from the album Achtung Baby to your list to get you even more misty :wink:

I don't cry, I can't, didn't even cry at Blood Brothers and I saw that show dozens of times...

But Carolyna, Better Alone and Beautiful Mind do get me pretty close sometimes. So close it hurts, but let it, I love those songs anyway.
