I feel embarrassed when we do a medal count (I'm from the U.S.)... to me it feels like the U.S. is saying, 'we have more medals. we're better. nee-ner, nee-ner, neeeeeee-ner!'. Only coz the U.S. is a pretty big country with different nationalities.
Although this winter olympics is the most diverse I've seen...
... still enjoy watching the athletes at their highs and lows...

yeah it's great to see many sports that normally wont get lot of coverage like snowboarding, the sledding stuff and freestyle skiing. of course in here we most passionately watch the traditional ones like ice hockey, ski jumping and cross country skiing but it's refreshing to follow a bit different activities too.

YAY!! my country is doin really well with ice skating whooohooooh got our 3rd gold yesterday!
well done guys! i like watching it but due to the late showing on tv i'm never able to watch it... i always watch the news haha! and then i see what my country did that day
We did very well, as individual athletes, as a city and a country. Lovely performances during the opening and closing ceremonies. Gold in men's hockey to put the icing on the cake was a fitting end. By all accounts visitors had a fantastic time and there was almost no trouble despite Vancouver and Whistler going on massive benders for a couple of weeks. The weather locally was brutal and they barely pulled-off the events on Cypress Bowl after spending millions of dollars trucking in hundreds of dump trucks full of snow from Manning Park a few hours to the East.
It was a wonderful celebration of human spirit, sportsmanship and achievement. The world needs more of that kind of vibe.
In memory of Nodar Kumaritashvili who died tragically and unnecessarily, bravely going balls-out on an ill-conceived and unsafe track. There is not a more honorable way to die than living one's love and passion, he's been immortalized and rightly so.
Hope that you all enjoyed the coverage from my town.
