Melanie C is back! Following her award-nominated performances and hugely successful spell in musical theatre, she has returned to the studio to work on her fifth album. While the finishing touches are made, Melanie has recorded an energetic and vibrant track entitled ‘Rock Me’ for one of the summer's biggest sporting events.

Written by Melanie and Dave Roth, who also co-produced with Andy Chatterley, ‘Rock Me’ is a motivating anthem featuring an infectious chorus of Melanie’s exciting and distinct vocals. With its high energy and relentless beat, it is fitting that the track has been chosen as the official song for German TV channel ZDF’s coverage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup – taking place in Germany this summer.

'Rock Me' the single, will be released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on June 24. Keep an eye on Melanie's official Facebook page for exclusive clips of the song.

the 8 sec snippet is too short to let me know whether I like it or not but I can sense the rising tense and that's always good, I think ;-)
